The headlamps on my S2000 are desiring of some polishing, and our Sienna is even worse, so I picked up two of these. The Sienna was the Guinea pig.

Before

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

The left lamp was noticeably worse than the right.

This drill-based kit was far easier to work with than the hand-sanding kit I used last year.

I was very conservative about switching out the discs, but even with large minivan headlights there were plenty, and I think I would have gotten better results by switching more often.

I also see that more time and care at each level would have paid off in eliminating swirls and getting rid of more of the ambient scratches.

The front corner of the light didn’t fit the curvature of the drill pad very well, and if I had cared about it, would have taken extra effort and thinking to get it as clear as the rest.

I followed up the polishing with three coats of Natty’s Paste Wax.

After

The verdict

An excellent kit. For $15 it’s hard to argue with the low-risk, high-win value.

I literally bought this exact same kit yesterday from NAPA! Going to apply this afternoon, glad to see it works!

I love this kit! Used it a few times for some headlight resto jobs. I grabbed it for only $10 that time too!

I think I’m gonna put another coat of Natty’s blue on my paint today....or maybe I'll try my new Blackfire spray wax....or Crystal seal....AAAGGHHH too many options lol

I’ve tried this one and the one from Meguiars. I like and would recommend both. I think this one requires less steps compared to the Meguiars kit, but both get the job done. That reminds me, need to do that to mine soon.

I got this and had the Murano looking quite good. Then the paint started flaking and the muffler fell off melting the bumper.

Polishing your headlights is a curse.

This one is two rounds of dry sanding, followed by one wet and one rubbing compound. They leave sealing up to you. Hopefully the paste wax will be OK.

Ah yeah that’s right. The Meguiar’s kit comes with a UV protector, but it is about $10-15 more depending on where you get it. Using what you got and buying a sealer is likely the cheaper route.

I am always perflexed when I see people still recommending doing this job by hand. This kit does a fine job, is cheaper, and takes significantly less time and elbow grease

What do you folks recommend for a UV protectant or sealer afterwards?

Very good kit in case you are not in hurry so much. I really like that kit contains also some extra sandpaper discs - just in case. Just don’t rush whole process of restoration, you will not see results until the final step is finished.
